From http://www.cayetanomusic.com In 1996, 19 year old George Bratanis released his 1st album with his group Stroggilo Kitrino (The Round Yellow) to much praise, especially for a very characteristic use of the Hammond sound and his own dynamic on-stage appearances.
After Stroggilo Kitrino found success playing venues in Greece and Italy, Bratanis left his group and in 1999, he moved to Spain, where he composed music for theatrical plays and films. While touring Spain, Bratanis played as a session musician for respectable Spanish bands, and though this gave him a good deal of respect, he nevertheless left Spain in 2004 so he may explore his ambitious dreams of becoming a successful solo artist under the helm of Cayetano.
Cayetano made his first releases while still living in Barcelona, the vinyl EPs “Mr. White” and the eponymous “Cayetano”, on the German label "Kinky Lounge". His international recognition came in 2006 when he released the album "Focused", which managed to get extensive airplay on many radio stations and received near universal praise from critics. His following collaboration with Loopa Scava resulted in his sophomore album "Up & Down", released by Etage Noir Records.
Cayetano has since recieved a nomination for the French Annually Prizes "Prix Radiophonie", the 1st Award for film scoring for the Swedish film "Herr Holger" , the honor of having Berlin's Mathematical Expo choose his song "Mathematical Sorrow" as their official theme, numerous remixes from the likes of Parov Stelar, Wax Tailor, and Mod X, as well as licensing his music to a diverse selection of media and not to mention his live appearances were lauded by the likes of WIRE magazine.
His third album, titled "The Big Fall", was released by Etage Noir Records to recognition on international iTunes and SoulSeduction.com charts. “The Big Fall” was Cayetano’s step into a darker, more mature territory, one which Cayetano proudly feels is his most authentic approach to playing his music.
In October 2010, Cayetano signed with Klik Records and subsequently released the album "Back Home" two months later. Four months after the successful release of “Back Home”, he formed the CAYETANO LIVE BAND, a collective of exceptionally talented musicians, whose concerts are more than often sold out.
On September 17th 2012, Cayetano returns with his crowning achievement, the album he is proudest of, ‘’Once Sometime”, on Klik Records’ new sub-label Pale Sound Records.
As James Andrew said: "Cayetano seems to walk in a road made for him, by him. A unique, colorful road. And he walks really nice".

Musical and poetic duet "Cocoa" with her debut album "always" - a real gem in the contemporary Russian music. Strange little things (and otherwise it will not be called), collected in the album are connection fantastically beautiful poems and constant unexpected game sounds interwoven into mischievous, intricate melodies, reminiscent of the childhood dreams, calm unconcern, a good kind of absurd and positive experiment.
Participants electronic duo "Cocoa" is not accidental conceal his musical origin. Being created as an experiment, a musical outlet, entertainment for friends, "Cocoa" - an attempt to make light and beautiful pop music, not burdened roaring guitars and hard drums. Perhaps the this is how they are born of the coolest projects: free from the obligations just for love. Like many electronic bands, "Cocoa" is betting on female vocals and rich musical erudition of both authors. Completes the picture good sound engineering. First you hear the sweet, rich tone of voice, she sings-weave amazingly beautiful and whimsical lyrics, Burlesque. Then sings along light and in a good hit melodies. And then start and pereslushivat colorful beads to sort songs one by one, noting with surprise that "Cocoa" in one track can coexist songs of whales and cats industrial noise and sounds of the city - and all this wealth so unobtrusively singing fills the space that is monitored only at the level of nuance.
For bright airy layers of sounds, images and associations generated open and fluid imagination of the author, is a mature professional work done not only elegant and tasteful, but absolutely original and 100% in the spirit of the times!
On his new album "The Princess" Parov Stelar consequently advances his unmistakable style. He also prolongs one ot the most amazing success stories of the past years.
A certified border-crosser of musical styles, Parov Stelar has examined well-tried and partly classic patterns, deconstructed them and re-defined his very own style along the way. At the same time he evolved from a DJ and producer to a first class band leader. Since then he and his band travel from one big festival stage and club to another. His fans do appreciate this kind of tireless commitment: the past decade had him gather a loyal, international fan-base, almost all of his upcoming dates are sold-out months in advance. What started as a series of some hundreds concerts in Eastern Europe soon conquered Central Europe and North America. Top chart positions in the US iTunes Electronic Charts and the New Artist Billboard Charts prove that Parov Stelar ́s new sound can easily even cross an ocean.
On April 20th 2012, Parov Stelars long-awaited new double-album THE PRINCESS will see the light of day, followed by an extensive, nearly fully sold-out European tour. THE PRINCESS perfectly sums up Parov Stelar's musical development without neglecting his roots. More than ever he takes his time to make every single track a short-story filled with ideas nicely fitting his 'anything goes' attitude.
Most of the tracks to be found on CD1 mirror a special, highly emotional and reminiscing undertone carried by the piano and yearning live/sampled vocals. Standout tunes like "You Got Me There" and opening track "Milla's Dream", which was actually recorded somewhere between the tourbus and backstage on last year's autumn tour, provide equally cinematic qualities. To wrap thing's up, CD1 includes soul pop anthem "Nobody's fool" featuring Parov Stelar live-band singer Cleo Panther.
CD2, however, offers a collection of yet unreleased or vinyl-only releases that, in comparison, turn it up a notch speedwise. Just take the upfront single "Booty Swing" which hypnotic trumpets and burlesque stylings have already caused quite a stir in America. And then there's "Jimmy's Gang", one of those agitating, bass- heavy electroswing songs that cause no less than good clean fun and established Parov Stelar as a pinnacle of this exciting new genre. At the same time CD 2 contains a number of Parov Stelar live-band and trio performances, making THE PRINCESS a comprehensive exhibition of Parov Stelars ecclectic ouevre."

When one thinks of today's mainstream pop music, one does not immediately think of jazz. In fact, I have been of the opinion for the longest time that jazz needs to find its way back into mainstream pop music. It was once king and those glory days are far behind, but I think it will return one day, perhaps in a different form, sort of like this. While Norah Jones may be the closest thing to jazz in pop music today, it is hard to deny that the hip hop world has nestled itself comfortably into that world of pop music as well. So what Robert Glasper has decided to do here is blend his music prowess, which is that of a jazz pianist, with the musical talents and styling of today's hip hop music. An interesting experiment to be sure, Glaper collaborates with various artists throughout and the result is a mixed bag.
The greatest attraction in jazz music for me is the moody transportation of the arrangements. The music manages to seep into my atmosphere from out of the speakers and take me to a musical paradise when done really well. That sort of experience can be found on this album, it is just a shame at how sporadic it comes. Glasper plays a great jazz piano, but his trouble on this album are his collaborators, who are mostly hit or miss. When paired with the delightfully soulful Erykah Badu on "Afro Blue", the classic standard with a slight twist this time, Glasper arranges an instantly gratifying experience. The hip is really downplayed for most of the album, featuring mostly jazz numbers with slightly influenced hip hop beats. In reality, the singers are jazzy or soulful and manage to compliment what Glasper is going for. The problem is sometimes they aren't all that interesting.
Perhaps more songs like "Always Shine", which features Lupe Fiasco, would have benefited the overall effectiveness of the album. On that track, Fiasco's rap pairs uncannily well with the jazz. For being an "experiment", Glasper should have gone further in marrying these musical styles. That being said, it is like nothing else I have heard, though I also haven't exactly listened to very much modern jazz to know if this was innovative or not. Glasper flirts with a great album, but honestly falls short not because of his talents as a musician, but as an assembler of talent. It is worth a listen for the handful of good tracks, and perhaps for the direction it may move the music industry over time.

After her debut album "Waiting To Be Told" is Renske Taminiau with her second album 'Move Me'. This album has eleven self-penned songs Renske and her band to sound. The CD case is beautifully designed by Renske itself and has a mysterious look.
'Love' bites the ball rolling. A sound like you're watching an old movie in which two special lovers together at last in the arms. A romantic sound so good you can dream. 'Paris' is a French song and just as lovely as 'Love'. You can not speak French, it is still a beautiful song.
In "To You We Sing 'is a bit more in the pit. "I'll do whatever I can to put his mind at ease. I promise I'll be his best companion. In good times or in better." 'Stay' has beautiful backing vocals and a cheerful melody. "I Told You So 'has a somewhat tougher character. "What keeps us from being honest?" The background vocals are uplifting and the instruments work together to build an exciting under Renske's vocals. She shows in this song more her feelings are harder to get through and more to play with her intonation and vibration. The valve, 'Luna', as the usual jazz songs by Renske, only the voltage is great here built and detonated it at the end.
Striking Renske's flawless sound is that they really tell a story. Her polished voice fits into the whole and her band creates a full sound. Renske's goal with this piece was an exciting result to put down than her debut. And even though the songs on 'Move Me' generally peaceful in nature, Renske should be proud of her second gem. This record she made with another motive: self enjoy music instead of always meet the needs of others. And so the album sound so pure. "Move Me" is a CD full of sensitive lyrics and dreamy melodies that in any way certainly moves.
